Jasper National Park --> Vancouver (train ride)

After a night at the Chateau Jasper, it was time again to leave Jasper. I had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and got ready for my departure. The Viarail train was scheduled to leave at 3.15 pm for a 17 hour trip through the Canadian Rockies, arriving in Vancouver tomorrow morning.

It was time to leave beautiful Jasper this morning. Thanks to ViaRail I step on the last leg of my train ride from Halifax to Vancouver.

This is just the perfect post card picture!

During the ride the scenery of the Canadian Rockies was just awesome!

Just look at one of the biggest mountains in Canada!

And the train continued to swirl through the mountains.

Tourists and travellers of all kinds enjoy the dome cabin, with a great view on the Rockies.

My train ride included a dinner which I enjoy in the dining car in the company of two American ladies and one Canadian.

I do not think I will have these luxurious train dinner pretty often from now...

During the train I enjoyed the scenery and flushed my head with reading great books.

This is the absolute end of the train, I never knew about this place!
