Reports

During my travels, my compensation for free accommodation for one night, was for me to write a daily travel diary. Of how I got to my next location, the people who would host me, the food I was offered and everything else. Below you find the archives of the highly extensive reports. Know that English is not my native language and most reports were written at high speed around midnight. Enjoy.

--> Hamilton Island, Australia

After last night's party on Hamilton Island, this day is (almost as usual) Hangover Day for me...
I slept out until noon or something and then joined Marilyn, Chris and Marilyn's French parents at the swimming pool of the resort.

Next to the interesting talks I had with Marilyn's father about French Madagascar and all the negative stories I had heard about that unorganized African island where they don't respect non-French (as read in the travel books), I had to take a few swims in the pools too!

I was given a (alcohol free) cocktail at the Island Bar again, had some swims, got a fruitmix from Marilyn, had a walk around, got another cocktail at the bar, relaxed in the spa and felt totally spoiled. But hehe, with a smile on my face. Sometimes - not often - I realize I am a lucky bastard...

When the night set down behind the green palm trees along the beach front I joined the Vaillant family from France in their apartment in the Whitsunday's block on the resort and loved the evening view on the sea and other islands from the 10th floor.

Someway I was a bit tired again and it wasn't even that late tonight already. Tomorrow I had to wake up at 7am in the morning, as Chris and Marilyn had arranged a very special surprise activity for me...

Oohh! What would that be?

G'nite Hammy!
