Reports

During my travels, I received free accommodation for a night in exchange for writing a daily travel diary. This diary documented how I reached my next destination, the hosts who welcomed me, the food I was offered, and other experiences along the way. Below, you will find the archives of these extensive reports. Please note that English is not my native language, and most entries were written quickly, often around midnight. Enjoy!

--> Indooroopily, Brisbane, Australia

Due to lack of time a short update about this Sunday. I planned to move on to my last suburb in Brisbane, before heading off to this island on the doorstep of Brisbane. Unfortunately this lady at my next hosting problem had to cancel on me by reason of family circumstances (or she was just scared with me). It wasn’t a problem for the Kelly family to have me over another day. Sue already had to get used to a house full with ten people, so one more wouldn’t make it worse.

Susan took her three youngest kids and me along to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane, where I got into real contact with koala bears, fed kangaroos from the hand and encountered some exciting enclosed-wildlife actions.

I now wonder if I’d ever see a koala bear in wildlife, especially after seeing hundreds of them in this safe haven.

Ramon.
