Reports

During my travels, my compensation for free accommodation for one night, was for me to write a daily travel diary. Of how I got to my next location, the people who would host me, the food I was offered and everything else. Below you find the archives of the highly extensive reports. Know that English is not my native language and most reports were written at high speed around midnight. Enjoy.

--> Fingal Heads, Gold Coast, Australia

It was certainly time to have some days of no travelling.
The past few days I stayed in Fingal Heads, where I enjoyed the fact that I could sleep in, do nothing, update my website, take a walk around the lagoon, read a book or dive in between the 400 video movies that Anna Eglitzky has been collecting...

Mother Ann would be doing crossword puzzles as I updated my website and Anna had to work at daytime. At night we would hear all her stories about her students and end up watching a movie.

Yesterday (no report) I have seen the eight top10 episodes of Friends on video and saw Forrest Gump at night.

It’s just great to lounge around and to be offered a few days without the real need to do something or go sightseeing.

Today Anna had to work until the afternoon, and when she came back home we got out to get some fish and chips. As it was Good Friday today, it was very busy. Fingal Heads might be a religious place, as the place was just packed with people who don’t eat any meat on Good Friday. We went just for the fish and chips by incident.

We also went to the beach for a while. It would be a pity to stay here for three nights, here the ocean the whole day, but never really visit it. Of course we had to go there the less easy way, crossing the lagoon by boat. Conclusion: we learned that we first had to clean the boat before paddling away, because someway we woke up an ant’s farm on board…

Back home, mother Ann had made some good filling-up dinner and Anna rented a bunch of movies. Tomorrow I’ll get on again, up the Gold Coast.

Thanx for the chill! Happy Easter!

Ramon.
