During my travels, my compensation for free accommodation for one night, was for me to write a daily travel diary. I said goodbye to Anna and Juan in Madrid and thanked them for my three-nights stay at their place, before leaving off to the Christmas lunch party of my next host Fran Reneses and his girlfriend Coinco.
The party was organised by their own amateur hockey team, who proclamed to be Spain's worst hockey team ever, but still have fun in the sport.
After the lunch, I dropped off my stuff at their apartment in Madrid (beautiful view onto the city!) and we went out again to attend a birthday party of one of the hockey friends in a small bar east of Madrid.
To get me known with some alternative cultures in Spain, Fran and Conchi took me along to Grutto77, a club/stage in Madrid where a ska-band called Neuvos Caños performed their last performance ever.
And I must say, this band was stunning! Amazing! And we stood straight in front of the stage, jumping and dancing along on the sounds and vocals the band released to us. This evening was an exellend experience, one I won't forget that easily!
