About this project
 Submit your place
 On this website
you can submit your place - your home - as
a place for me to stay-for-a-day.
So if you want to share a meal with me
and have a spare place to sleep, I
will visit you and write about it!
Wherever you
live,
I can come over at your place!
Travel No Budget
Of course I will not stay all day
with you.
I first have to get there. I will travel
without any budget from place to place
on a daily base.
So no plane, bus or train, can be paid by me. So most of
the times it will be me and my thumb.
Every Day Reports
Every day I'll try to write a report about all my visits. About all that
happens: trying to reach your place,
about you, your hospitality, your cooking
and about your favorite web links!
The whole experience will be published on
this website with text and images
through your
phone line! And after this project,
also in a book!
Since last December I have myself a laptop
Give
me the possibility to travel around this
globe and to write about different
places, different cultures, different
people. All in connection with the
Internet.
Let me share this opportunity with
the rest of the world and join this

 Would you let me stay?
My favorite pastime is traveling. So why shouldn't I make a big trip? To see things and meet a lot of different people?
BUT as a (then) 25-year-old former journalism student, I didn't have any money to go on a big time cruise around the world.
And I noticed people begging for money on the Internet (e.g. sendmeadollar.com), I thought: why not 'beg' for a place to stay?
And that's when this 'project' got started.
